La sección de los conductores a utilizar se determinará de forma que la caída de tensión entre el origen de la instalación interior y cualquier punto de utilización sea, salvo lo prescrito en las instrucciones particulares, menor del 3 % de la tensión nominal para cualquier circuito interior de viviendas, y para otras instalaciones interiores o receptoras, del 3 % para alumbrado y del 5 % para los demás usos. Esta caída de tensión se calculará considerando alimentados todos los aparatos de utilización susceptibles de funcionar simultáneamente. El valor de la caída de tensión podrá compensarse entre la de la instalación interior y la de las derivaciones individuales, de forma que la caída de tensión total sea inferior a la suma de los valores límites especificados para ambas.
Para instalaciones industriales que se alimenten directamente en alta tensión mediante un transformador de distribución propio, se considerará que la instalación interior de baja tensión tiene su origen en la salida del transformador. En este caso, las caídas de tensión máximas admisibles serán del 4,5 % para alumbrado y del 6,5 % para los demás usos.
SUBDIVISIÓN DE LAS INSTALACIONES
Una de las preocupaciones principales que ha de tener el electricista instalador es prever los fallos. De tal manera, que un fallo en una parte de la instalación no afecte a toda la instalación por igual Una de las maneras de prevenir los fallos, puede ser subdividir el total de la instalación en varias líneas diferentes en forma que las averías que puedan producirse en un punto de ellas, afecten solamente a ciertas partes de la instalación, por ejemplo a un sector del edificio, a un piso, a un solo local, etc. Otra forma es, que los sistemas de protección sean selectivos. Es decir coordinados de forma que el más próximo al fallo actúa entes que el más lejano y no actúen los dos al mismo tiempo. A esta forma se le llama selectivos
Toda instalación se dividirá en varios circuitos, según las necesidades, a fin de:
Evitar las interrupciones innecesarias de todo el circuito y limitar las consecuencias de un fallo S facilitar las verificaciones, ensayos y mantenimientos S evitar los riesgos que podrían resultar del fallo de un solo circuito que pudiera dividirse, como por ejemplo si solo hay un circuito de alumbrado.
EQUILIBRADO DE CARGAS
Decir que una línea está desequilibrada, significa que sus líneas tienen consumos en amperios diferentes por cada fase. Esto implica secciones diferentes. Cuando se diseña una línea se hace pensando que sus conductores van a soportar cargas equilibradas, lo que facilita el cálculo, el montaje, y el comportamiento del consumo general, y fusibles iguales.
Para que se mantenga el mayor equilibrio posible en la carga de los conductores que forman parte de una instalación, se procurará disponer los receptores de manera que los consumos queden repartidos entre sus fases o conductores polares, lo más próximo posible.
De ser posible, se dispondrán que las líneas se adapten a la colocación de los receptores, siendo el caso contrario lo menos común, es decir que los receptores se coloquen donde venga mejor a las líneas. En el ejemplo de la figura 5 se comprende mejor este supuesto: Hay dos figuras, una con la carga desequilibrada y la segunda con carga equilibrada, lo más fácil para el electricista hubiese sido, el primer montaje, pero con los radiadores de calor colocados por cada interruptor de los tres vatios que hay, 2.200, 1.200 y 750 W, como no es posible, se ha adoptado el segundo esquema a fin de que todas las líneas, tengan la misma sección y el mismo interruptor.
El reparto de la carga se hará teniendo en cuenta, los consumos de cada receptor, el número de elementos, como puede observarse en la figura.
